Bead Talk

Dorothy, is that you?? While we made it through last night’s flood watch unscathed (thanks to a few quick two-steps from Billy, it appears that now we are under tornado watch. Whaa?? Brings back memories of my childhood visiting our extended family in Oklahoma. My relatives were always WAY too relaxed in the face of the threat of tornado destruction to suit me. Here we would be standing in the doorway watching the trees do deep knee bends and toe touches and they calmly tell me to go on to bed, they will wake me if the winds get too strong. Huh?? How about I sleep in the root cellar?

What can I say? As much as my adrenalin is running at full throttle I have to rein myself in today or I will be typing several pages of endless, and most probably confusing chatter, that will leave you wondering if I’ve quite possibly had 100 cups of espresso today! I’m sorry to cut this short, I’m afraid my updates have been rather dry the last couple of months, but hopefully that will be remedied if not in the next week, perhaps the next couple of months. I have so many ideas buzzing around in my head I swear they are going to begin spilling out of my ears and start flying around the house. Uh-oh, there goes one now!!

 

A couple new auctions (and hopefully I’ll be adding some new items to the online store soon). I’m going to try 5 day auctions, I think. The 7 day ones are just too darn long to wait. I’ll try to list something on Thursday’s (ending on Tuesdays) and something on Tuesday’s (ending on Sundays). How does that sound? I’ve got some new splashy sets that I’m thinking of putting up there in the featured auction spaces but just can’t decide to take the leap and commit to that. 

Okay, I resisted the urge to run off to a Gem Faire today recognizing it as an avoidance tool (what, me avoid taking pictures of beads??) and I’m going to lash myself to my camera and get the site further updated….as soon as I get a diet cola…….and after I fill out that magazine subscription online……and hey, I think the dishwasher stopped so I really do need to unload it…….is that the mailman I hear…….and……and…….what????

One more thing before I strap this wrist girdle back on. I don’t normally ask for votes from you guys (though the Artzee button IS over there to the right ,wink)) but I am on a mission.

What, you can’t understand the title?? You don’t know what language that is? Well, that is a taste of what my updates will look like when I’m wearing my shiny new wrist brace. I swear this thing has a mind of its own. It somehow started up the voice recognition thing on my keyboard (I didn’t even know I had one of those) and I can’t figure out how to disable it, AND it wrote a really rude email to Billy, LOL. So, until I figure out how to show this thing who’s boss, my typing will be limited (and very possibly bizarre).

I was hoping for a bigger update today, but I’ve spent several hours on emails, invoices and following up on orders I’ve placed but not received. While I was working the morning must have been sucked out of the room because it has apparently just evaporated.

I did add a couple new earrings in the shopping section this weekend so be sure to check them out.

I’m working on updates!

 

I’ve finally gotten around to updating that tired old gallery of mine, I hope you like it! It’s pretty bare bones but it has all of the important stuff, the pictures! For some reason I can’t see it when using the Opera browser. If you can’t see the pictures please let me know what browser you are using. It seems to work okay with Internet Explorer. 

Now that I’ve spent all morning working on this, I guess I really should go make beads. For those of you who aren’t on my mailing list, I added several new earring designs yesterday as well as a couple items in the specials section. Thanks for looking!

My internet provider soap opera continues (the providers name is three letters long with no vowels, hint, hint) with no access for 2 days. It isn’t really the fact that there is a problem, hey, things happen, it is the customer service (or lack thereof) that has me so frustrated. I am on a very slow dial-up connection right now that disconnects me after about 30 seconds. I’m having trouble finding humor in this :->. If I’m really, really lucky I’ll be able to connect and upload this before I’m disconnected.

If you have tried sending me an email and have gotten no response, please bear with me. If you win one of my auctions that are ending tonight and don’t hear from, I will respond as soon as I can. If you think you might know the CEO of the before-mentioned company tell him or her I’d love to have them for dinner so we can chat. I mean I would want to hear how my company is being run if I were them.

I have been making some earrings while I’ve been wearing a path on my office rug so if my connection is ever returned to normal, be on the lookout for them.
