A couple of years ago I bought Billy a Roombafor his birthday (I know, a vacuum for a present???). He had really been wanting one for sometime and it was an extravagance (and a silliness I felt at the time) beyond what I was willing to just casually buy. I have to admit it has become a useful tool around the house. While it doesn’t take the place of a thorough vacuuming, it does do a good job at keeping the dirt and dust down to a manageable level with no effort on my part. To top it off we have had excellent customer service from the company. I bought Billy’s from Amazon but the manufacturer has been great when we’ve needed them. Ours is actually a dinosaur compared with what the new models can do. They even have one now that will scrub your kitchen floor. Now THAT is progress. After today, though, I’ve found the best reason to like and support this company:

Beads in 2D?…..Comments Off

Still no ‘real’ beads on the site, but how about some in 2D? I have a few copies of the newly released Bead Review 2005 available for preorder. They will be arriving soon. You can find them here:Bead Review 2005

I know, I know, I said I was going to put some new bead sets up this week but my current project has taken much more time than anticipated and to make matters worse we’re on our way out the door to speak with someone, and yes, it’s about the ‘project’. I will leave you with a cute sign (though totally unbead-related, that I saw at the end of the driveway belonging to a house in the country. Made me smile.

I buy a lot of items from Amazonand I have to say I haven’t had any problems with them. Of course, with many businesses the service is superb as long as everything goes right. Well, I had my first problem with Amazon. They had sent me an old model of a tool I use to clean my beads and when I went to purchase a back-up battery it didn’t work and the old batteries were unavailable. When I emailed them to tell them how unhappy I was, they wrote a nice email apologizing and refunded the entire purchase price! Now THAT is customer service.

I’ve been playing around with this color combo for my pinwheel beads. Yes?
Rainbow Days…..Comments Off

You would think with all of the dramatic changes in our weather over the course of a day, rain-sun-rain-sun-rain, that we would have at least one little rainbow to delight in. Alas, no such luck so I had to make my own!

Shake, Shake, Shake……Comments Off

Today is not the day to smell the roses. I’ve been distracted with a project the last couple of weeks but today is the day I shake myself off and get back to beads. I am just going to go lose myself in the glass (I know you lampworkers out there know what I’m talking about, right?).
Stay in touch this week, I’ll be posting some new things.
Scooting Out the Door…..Comments Off
Well, we had almost ALL of it yesterday, in the way of weather at least. We had fog, we had rain, we had bright sunny warm skies, we had hail and we even had a tornado pass by over a neighboring town. Once we had it all, we had it all over again. And again. The weather just kept repeating these patterns until about mid-afternoon. The weather has definitely been a mystery these days. One good thing about yesterday for the weather forecasters, no matter what had forecast they were right!
I’ve got to scoot out the door right now before the blizzard strikes. I’ve got some new beads made so hopefully when all of the frenzy of activity lessens around here I’ll find some time to update the shopping sections.
